Thank you for signing up to participate in the Annual Live Ride for MDA to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Your participation means help and hope for the families MDA serves in our community.

Our goal is to do the best we can in raising money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. You should set a personal goal, then begin right away raising money to reach it. It’s a lot easier than you think. Brainstorm a list of people you can contact in person, by phone and by e-mail. Personal contact produces more generous results. Remember, you get what you ask for. Suggest a donation of $25, $50 or more from friends and associates, $100 or more from businesses.

Use the link below to go to our event web site and create your own personalized ride page. From there you can e-mail your family, friends and associates anywhere in the world. You can also collect and track donations online using MDA’s secure website as well as get valuable hints and tools to help you reach your goal.

More fund raising ideas!

1. Make a contact list-Include all your co-workers, company vendors, friends and family!

2. Call all of your contacts and let them know that you’re riding for the Muscular Dystrophy Association-Alaska, and ask if they’d like to make a tax-deductible donation to MDA-Alaska.

3. Let everyone know to ask if their company does matched pledges-this is where they match every dollar donated to MDA-Alaska

4. SET A GOAL! It cost $600 to send one child to summer camp, set a goal of how many Alaskan children you would like to send to summer camp this August!

5. Let EVERYONE know that you’re participating in this Fun event and you need their help to reach your goal.

  • What is the Live Ride for MDA?

The Live Ride for MDA is an annual fund raising event put on by MDA with the support of the Alaska Motorcycle Community!

ALL Participants (riders and passengers) purchase a packet ($50.00) and then raise funds prior to the ride. Each year, the ride leaves from the Anchorage (and now the MatSu Valley), making stops for fuel and snacks along the way.

Once the huge group of riders (of all motorcycle makes and models) reaches the Central Peninsula Sports Center in Soldotna, the riders will then be treated to festivities at the sports center including a "carnival," Arctic Attack Stunt Demo Team, and much more!

The riders who raise $800.00 are part of The Parade of Heroes  who participate in a special ride through the Central Peninsula Sports Center itself!

It is always impressive to watch the huge line of motorcycles file into the Sports Center, all there to help raise money and support for the continuing fight against Muscular Dystrophy!
